Cambridge, UK – 8 October 2020. The second episode in an enlightening series of Dev Diaries showcasing new ways to play in Planet Coaster: Console Edition has released.

In the five-minute video, called Ways to Play, members of Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) walk viewers through new features and improvements they can expect when the adored park management game launches on console Holiday 2020.

Features such as the brand new and fully voiced tutorial so players can learn the ropes alongside a colourful cast of characters; the updated Career Mode centring on creating and managing the ultimate coaster park; the Challenge mode adding in four different difficulty settings to truly test skills; and the freeing Sandbox Mode in which creation has no limits. There’s something for everyone in Planet Coaster: Console Edition.

And that’s not all. The video also covers how multi-platform purchasing works. Players who buy a digital copy of the game on PlayStation®4 or Xbox One are able to download the optimised version free of charge when it becomes available by logging onto their next-gen console with the account on which they purchased the game.

Those who opt for a physical copy of the game are able to download the optimised version at no extra cost when it becomes available by inserting the disc into their next-gen console. Next-gen upgrades are not available for physical versions of the game if players have upgraded to PlayStation®5 Digital Edition or Xbox Series S.

Planet Coaster: Console Edition is heading to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S this Holiday 2020. That’s when players will be able to experience everything seen in the footage for themselves, dreaming big and building bigger as they create a burgeoning coaster park empire.
