Purchasing Officer – Maternity Cover (part time)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Frontier Developments, one of the world’s leading independent game developers, for an experienced Purchasing Officer to cover maternity leave on a 12 month fixed term part time contract.

As the Purchasing Officer at Frontier, you will be responsible for providing purchasing process management and procurement support. This is a really varied and fast paced role, and we are looking for someone who will bring energy, passion and a strong work ethic to compliment the company’s culture.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Continue developing and driving forward the procurement strategy and achieve value for money solutions
  • Monitor purchasing activities
  • Monitoring and managing supplier performance
  • Raising and reporting purchase orders
  • Supervise the Purchasing assistant

You will also be expected to cover for the Purchasing assistant on days of absence taking on the day to day purchasing activities. This will include undertaking various duties alongside general ordering such as arranging flights, accommodation, working meals and covering reception as and when required.

Skills/experience

  • Previous purchasing experience is essential
  • Supervisory/manager experience
  • Competent in report writing and data manipulation
  • Be confident in the use of all MS packages
  • Attention to detail and methodical in work practices
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills

Frontier offer 25 paid day’s holiday per annum in addition to public holidays, rising to 30 after 10 years service, a bonus scheme, life insurance, share options and pension. Salary will depend on experience and capability.
