Work Environment

Our modern, spacious offices are situated on the renowned Science Park in Cambridge, UK, home to many leading technology companies.

The Cambridge offices are located near a gym, bar, restaurant and childcare facilities. We have plenty of  free on-site parking for cars and bikes, as well as on-site catering that offers at least one hot meal for purchase per day, alongside sandwiches and snacks.

We are located across two buildings in Cambridge. We have a large open-plan office on two floors, as well as two smaller offices also located on the Science Park. All our offices provide meeting rooms for progress / team meetings across all sites.

There are kitchens in all of the offices, in which we provide free refreshments including various hot and cold drinks, biscuits and fresh fruit.

Our offices are easily accessible by car or bus..

The atmosphere is open, friendly and professional.  We like to strike the right balance between hard work and fun.  Naturally we are games enthusiasts, and hold 'competitive' lunchtime multi-player game sessions, as well as other sporting and social events.

All are encouraged to share their ideas, and contribute in all ways they are able. We are the sum of our people’s talents and motivation, and we are very keen to develop everyone’s potential to the full.  We hold annual performance / career reviews, and promote from within.  We operate a meritocracy – if you’re good enough you’re old enough, and you’ll be challenged to fulfill your potential.

Salary reviews are performance based, and salary will be reviewed annually in August as a minimum.  Salaries are monitored throughout the year to take individuals’ progress into account and promote rapid improvers.

Your progress will be discussed at least annually with you, and of course there will be lots more frequent ‘on-the-job’ feedback.  We will tailor a personal development and career progression programme with you. People enjoy working at Frontier, and we have low staff turnover.  We have a growing number of people who have been here over 10 years and have developed their skills and careers with the company.

We try to be smart about how we work – we work hard when the need arises but we recognise that what matters is people’s overall productivity rather than the overall number of hours they work.

Not everyone wants to be a manager, so we make sure that as well as a managerial career path another route to increased salary and recognition is available, via your skill and experience within your discipline - programming, art, animation, game design etc.

Whether you’re a graduate or an experienced industry veteran, we'll care about your career development, encourage your ideas and contribution and enthuse you to keep improving.

We are around 250 people and counting.  We have a stellar track record in the industry that stretches back 30 years, and we have an even more exciting future ahead of us.  We want to recruit outstanding candidates to work alongside the excellent people we already have to help us achieve our ambitions by putting both Frontier and games at the forefront of the world entertainment industry.  We’d love you to come along with us for the journey.

We're big enough to be professional and flexible enough for you to make a big difference.
